Today's the day! (Well technically yesterday, but you'll forgive us for the delay, won't you?) Buckaneers is now available on Kickstarter!

The game will come with 80 hero ability cards, 20 item cards, 4 boss cards, 40 monster and upgrade tiles, 4 hero character sheets, and a board all featuring beautiful illustrations by Chris Nichols. If you catch us at Gen Con, you can check out our prototypes in person!

In addition to an early bird discount for early backers, we also have a reward option with 4 art prints, and the option to add a campaign booklet for players who can't get enough of the game and want to try a more structured adventure. You can expect to receive the game in 2025.

The game is a blast to play, so by supporting us on Kickstarter you are helping us raise capital to refine the prototype into the best final product it can be. That's why we are keeping the Tabletop Simulator version available on Steam so you can try the demo for yourself. We will also be scheduling stream & play sessions with our fans on Discord, so make sure to join the channel if you want to be a part of the fun!

Buckaneers is a cooperative board game where players take on a gauntlet of monsters to test their strategy and team-building skills. Take on the role of a motley pirate crew searching for the missing Captain Buck, lost on a previous expedition to the cursed Waylos Isles. You'll use cards to randomize the monsters you encounter, the treasure you plunder, and even the skills you gain as your characters grow. Combat is anything but random – short but deadly, you'll need to choose abilities that combo together, and take on combat roles like tank and damage dealer in order to gain enough strength to overcome the ferocious monsters. Will you end up swimming with the fishes? Or will you defeat the final evil and finally be worthy of the name Buckaneers?
